We are at the point in the season where we have played in a few games against some good teams in some high level tournaments. You have played really good strong defense and your determination is what is helping you out the most to have success in the games.

We are now playing team that are at a higher level and are year older that what you have been playing in the past. During the Freshman soccer season we could dominate with our defensive speed and intensity, now we are playing at a higher level so it will be helpful if we work on some of the areas of your game you could improve upon. The pie chart above kind of simplifies a basic overview of how I see break down your play for the most part. Physicality and intensity being your biggest quality. Composure being what is needed the most. I think what will hope the most is to concentrate on how you feel when you have the ball. I am mostly talking about composure when you have the ball not while you are defending someone. I think for fierce defenders like yourself can find it challenging to switch form intense defensive play to calm and composed play while have the ball at your feet.

On the defensive side you do not scan the field enough so that makes it that you aren’t able to identify the threats around the goal or maybe a player sneaking in behind on the backside of the play. These are the goals and the adjustments to your game I think could really help you improve going forwards.
