Rec Soccer Coach
Someone had to volunteer to coach the Blue Tide and your the one that came to the rescue so the team could form. Now you and your child have the task of working together as player and coach to survive and hopefully thrive during the season. I have done it myself so maybe I can help.

Blue Flat cones
The second half of the first practice could be a simple 2v2 game advancing to a 3v3 if time is available. This is a good game for multiple reasons but I chose it for the first practice because it’s easy to set up and takes little explanation. Keep it simple for the first practice.
Coaching Points
-
Don’t worry about the ball going out of bounds a little. Keep the kids playing
-
Keep the kids moving don’t delay in between plays once the ball goes out of bounds or there is a goal start the next group
-
When you have 3 players they should create a triangle shape so that ideally the player with the ball always has two passing options.
-
Change the way you send in the balls to start the game so the players are challenged in different ways. Try and create different dynamic body movements from the player.
-
Try and customize the game so that the players have to make decisions. Try and create different levels of difficulty from how you pass the ball into the game.
